Terms of Use
The short version
- New stores get a 14-day free trial. No card is needed to start.
- After the trial, the store owner can subscribe monthly and cancel at any time.
- Your store's data belongs to you.
- The app helps you check deliveries, but you are responsible for the final numbers.
1Agreeing to these terms
SmartReceiving is made by Shakeel Anjum in Louisville, Kentucky, USA ("we" or "us"). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use SmartReceiving for a business, you agree on behalf of that business. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
2Your account and your team
- You must give a real email address and keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- The person who creates a store is its owner. Owners and managers decide who joins the store and what role each person has.
- You must be at least 18, or old enough to work in your store and use the app with your employer's permission.
3Free trial and subscription
- Free trial: each new store gets 14 days free. No card is needed, and you are not charged when the trial ends unless you subscribe.
- Price: the monthly price is shown in the app and on the payment page before you pay. One subscription covers the whole store.
- Billing: payments are handled by Stripe. Your subscription renews automatically every month until you cancel. If you subscribe during your trial, your first charge happens when the trial ends.
- Cancelling: the store owner can cancel any time from Account → Manage billing. You keep access until the end of the month you've paid for, and you won't be charged again.
- Refunds: we don't give refunds for partly used months, except where the law requires it. If you think you were charged by mistake, email us and we'll make it right.
- Failed payments: if a payment fails, you have 7 days to update your card. After that, new deliveries are paused until billing is fixed. Your past records are not deleted.
- Price changes: if we change the price, we'll tell store owners at least 30 days before it applies to them.
4Your data
Your store's invoices, photos and records belong to you. You give us permission to store and process them only to run the app for you, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can delete your account at any time.
5Checking the results
SmartReceiving uses AI to read invoices and photos, and it can make mistakes, especially with blurry, damaged or handwritten documents. The app always shows you what it read so you can check and fix it. You are responsible for checking the numbers before you rely on them, and for any decisions you make with your vendors, including claims and payments.
6Fair use
Please don't misuse SmartReceiving. That means you won't:
- try to get into another store's data or anyone else's account;
- upload anything illegal, or anything you don't have the right to share;
- try to break, overload, copy or reverse-engineer the app;
- use the app to mislead vendors or make false claims.
We may suspend accounts that break these rules. Where we can, we'll tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem.
7Changes and availability
We're always improving SmartReceiving, so features may change. We work hard to keep it running, but we can't promise it will never be unavailable or error-free. If we ever shut the service down, we'll give at least 30 days' notice so you can save your records.
8Limits on our responsibility
SmartReceiving is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses, such as lost profits or missed vendor credits, and our total responsibility for any claim is limited to the amount your store paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the law that can't be limited.
9Apple
If you downloaded the app from the App Store, Apple's standard terms for App Store apps also apply. Apple is not responsible for SmartReceiving or for supporting it: please contact us instead.
10The law that applies
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, USA. If we ever disagree about something, please email us first: most problems can be solved quickly that way.
11Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we'll update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll let you know in the app or by email before it takes effect.
